I'm not sure in what context you mean by this: "Even now experts are already saying that ethereum is slowly catching up to bitcoin."

These are two different coins: one is digital property (bitcoin) and the other is a digital security (ethereum).

Bitcoin is ultimately the hardest store of value that we've ever seen in the history of man. You cannot say that about ethereum. Both have different purposes.
